The neediest students will now be sent home with nutritious food thanks to the rotary club, which is committed to raising funds, packing back packs, and delivering them weekly to East Cooper schools to make sure kids don’t go home for the weekend without healthy foods and snacks.

Rotary's community development programs address many of today's most critical issues - - hunger, the environment, literacy, to name a few. RI also offers programs that focus primarily on young people, including service clubs for high school students and young adults, leadership training workshops, and student exchanges.

Our club along with the East Cooper Breakfast club are sponsoring a project called "Happy Feet". This project will provide new shoes for needy school children East of the Cooper. This program will be done once a year in October at the local Target Store in Mount Pleasant.
